BOOK GROUP READING FOR 2011-2012
The Book Group for both Deer Park and Calvin folk meets monthly 8 times a year on the second Tuesday at 7:00pm. Everyone is welcome. The only requirement is that you have read the book - or at least enough that you can participate in the discussion by adding to it, by asking questions, o by listening with understanding. These are the books for the 2011-2012 year:
January 10 -- Sarah's Key by Tatiana de Rosnay
February 14 -- The Help by Kathryn Stockett
March 13 -- The Well-Termpered Listener by Mary Mason
April 10 -- March by Geraldine Brooks
May 8 -- Mistress of Nothing by Kate Pullinger

AVENUE CLUB
The Avenue Club is for seniors and is non-denominational and non-sectarian. Visitors are always welcome. The group enjoys slide presentations, guest speakers, refreshments and conversation. The next meeting will be Monday December 5, 2011 at 12noon for the Christmas Lunch. The guest speaker will be Tim Elliott. All events are held at Calvin Presbyterian Church, 26 Delisle Avenue, one block north and west of Yonge and St. Clair.
