For many years,

ANNUAL CHURCHES-0N-THE-HILL FOOD DRIVE
SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 6 and
SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 13 at 9.30 AM

The Annual Churches-on-the-Hill Food Drive has been a centre piece of Deer Park's outreach program for over 20 years.  It was initiated by David Hunter and Bob Maedel and flourished over the years at Deer Park. When we moved to Calvin the project continued but it soon became evident that Timothy Eaton Memorial Church, where the Food Bank is housed and where the food is eventually delivered, would be a better location for the Food Drive.

Every November volunteers from all the churches gather to deliver flyers to homes in the neighbourhood on the first Saturday and pick up non-perishable foods and gifts of money on the second Saturday. Last year over 90 cases of food was collected, sorted and delivered to 3 food banks; The Stop, Evangel Hall and Churches-0n-the-Hill Food Bank. This year the tradition continues.

Another exciting outreach project involving both Calvin Presbyterian and Deer Park United Churches!
